Design Story
This place started with a simple idea. After more than 10 years working in kitchens, the chef finally wanted to make the kind of ramen he actually likes to eat. Not the usual super salty, heavy style — but something rich, balanced, and made properly from scratch.
He also made a deliberate choice: Chinese-style ramen instead of Japanese-style, because in this city, JP-style ramen is everywhere. He wanted something that felt different, local, and personal.
Everything here is made from scratch, from the soup to the toppings. The flavors are bold but clean. You can finish the whole bowl, even the broth, without feeling thirsty or weighed down.
The space reflects the people behind it. A lot of the furniture and decorations come from the owner’s personal collection of Chinese antiques, so it feels warm, lived-in, and honest — not staged.
Location: No. 80, Jingmei St, West District, Taichung City, 403
Strategy
The visual identity is rooted in the chef’s story: handmade, honest, and full of quiet pride. We focused on warm colors, nostalgic visual cues, and custom typography to reflect the shop’s unique personality. Just like the food, the branding avoids gimmicks and instead builds something genuine—an experience that feels familiar, yet entirely new.
