Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton is a haunting exploration of isolation, connection, and survival in a world abruptly cut off from human contact. The novel follows two protagonists: an aging astronomer stranded in the Arctic after a mysterious global disaster, and an astronaut returning from deep space who loses all communication with Earth. As both confront solitude, memory, and the possibility of human connection, the story meditates on love, loss, and what endures when everything else has vanished.

After reading this book, I was impacted in ways I didn’t expect, which led me to create this cover based on my own interpretation and emotional response to the story.
